OPS Board Member Resigns

The Omaha Public School Board is in need of a new member.

Yolanda Williams, who represented sub-district 1 for OPS, announced her resignation, which was effective at the conclusion on Monday night's meeting.

Williams has represented the district for over four years.  In her resignation, Williams said that she would be moving outside of the boundaries of the sub-district and had to "regretfully resign" from her position.

Williams said by giving her resignation now, it will hopefully give the board time to find a replacement by their first meeting in January.
