The Nebraska State Patrol made a traffic stop Monday around 4:45 p.m. on I-80 near North Platte and ended up taking three people into custody on drug charges.
Troopers stopped a 2017 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound and pulled them over on a violation. Troopers then detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. They conducted a search and found 38 pounds of edible marijuana products, three pounds of hash oil butter and 31 grams of marijuana.
24 year old Rodney Edwards, 22 year old Destiny Eason and 21 year old Justice Santiago were taken into custody for possession with intent to distribute and having no drug tax stamp. The three are from Connecticut and were booked into the Lincoln County Jail.
