No injuries were reported after a train collided with a semi around 8:30 Wednesday morning in western Douglas County.
It happened near the intersection of Highway 36 and Old Highway 275. Authorities say the truck was pulling into Nebraska turf products, a company that makes fertilizer and ice melt.
The fully-loaded coal train was heading east when the crash happened. The damaged lead locomotive was disconnected from the train.
Investigators were looking it over about a mile-and-a-half east of the crash site.
