Persons Of Interest In Missing Lincoln Woman Case Speak Out

The two people Lincoln Police consider 'persons of interest' in the case of a missing 24 year old Lincoln woman spoke out Wednesday morning.

In a video posted on the 'Finding Sydney Loofe' Facebook page, Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell stated that they wanted to tell their side of the story. The two were named as 'persons of interest' by Lincoln Police on Tuesday. The nine minute video has been deleted from the page, but the video was still able to get their message across.

Loofe hasn't been seen since November 15th, and was reported missing the next day after she didn't show up for work. The last contact Loofe had with friends or family was through a Snapchat picture to her friend, in which Loofe said she was excited to go on a date. That date was reportedly with Bailey Boswell.

At one point in the video Trail says that being named as a person of interest has ruined his life, and the pair felt the need to speak out. "We're not trying to defend anything. We're not trying to make you believe anything. We just feel we should get to say our side since everyone else gets to say theirs."

Both Trail and Boswell said they had been transparent with Lincoln Police and had even tried to reach out to law enforcement about the case. "We were told to quit blowing up their phone even though we told them, 'Hey do you understand we are the people you are looking for. They said, 'You've called here several times. We will get back to you when we can.'"

The pair were shown to be dressed in all black while filming the nine minute video in a vehicle. It is unknown at this time where the two are located. Trail went on to say that he and Boswell are both hoping for Loofe's safe return and had helped law enforcement to try and locate her. "We are the two people who gave them all these leads." The leads Trail is alluding to, were that Loofe was last seen in Wilber, Nebraska. Evidence that was backed up by Loofe's cell phone provider, which had last pinged her phone in Wilbur.

Boswell shared her relationship with Loofe, saying the pair had gone on two dates where the two drove around, smoking marijuana. She says after the second date, she was going to take Loofe home when Sydney asked Boswell to drop her off at a friend's house. Boswell says she hasn't seen Loofe since. “I want the family to know that I’m truly sorry. I didn’t have anything to do with this. I hope that Sydney is found very soon.”

Trail and Boswell closed out the video saying again that they had done nothing wrong and that, “The police department is going to do what suits them best." Trail adding, "They’re chasing us around like dogs. As far as the police department, (expletive) you.”

Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister says the circumstances of Loofe's disappearance are concerning and that they have additional information about the case, but aren't releasing the details in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
