The Durham Museum's Christmas at Union Station will officially kick off with a tree lighting ceremony Friday night.
Families are invited to celebrate the start of the holiday season with cookie decorating, holiday crafts, Christmas carols, scavenger hunts and a chance to see Santa. The activities run from 4-8 with the lighting of the towering blue spruce scheduled for 7:00.
Regular museum pricing does apply to this event. Admission for adults is $11, children ages two and up is $7, $8 for seniors and free for members. Parking will be available at the Durham Museum, with additional parking at the Conagra Brands campus at 7th and Leavenworth. Shuttles will be available to bring attendees to the museum's main entrance.
Throughout the holiday season, donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at The Durham for the Food Bank for the Heartland's 'Shine the Light on Hunger' campaign.
