Family Taking Action To Find Missing Lincoln Woman

Family and friends of a missing 24 year old Lincoln woman say they are not stopping until they find her.

Sydney Loofe was reported missing Thursday and the last contact she had with anyone was on Wednesday, November 15th through the social media app Snapchat.

Loofe's family is desperate to bring Sydney home and have placed a rotating ad on a billboard near I-80 and 72nd. The family is also asking for people to share their social media posts and are looking for volunteers to distribute posters.

Loofe's cousin Nick Schultze tells 6 News that they're riding an emotional roller coaster, but they are determined to find Sydney. "It's surreal I guess it feels sort of like a dream that this can't be real, this can't be happening to someone that I know let alone a family member. I think we're all really scared and just trying to hold each other together."

Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister says someone saw Sydney before her disappearance in a town where her phone was last pinged at. "We have a confirmed sighting of her in Wilbur, Nebraska on November 15th."

Bliemeister says they are concerned for Sydney's well-being. "The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are concerning. What our focus is on this point is trying to find Sydney as quickly as possible."

Sydney is described as 5'7, 135 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She also has a number of recognizable tattoos, which are pictured below.

Bliemeister urges anyone with information to reach out to them. "If somebody out there knows where Sydney is, or who she's with, or have seen her since November 15th, please let the Lincoln Police Department know."

Anyone with information can contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or the Antelope County Sheriff’s Office at 402-887-4148. If you are interested in volunteering in the search, you can reach Loofe's family at  findingsydneyloofe@gmail.com.
