A Council Bluffs man was injured early Monday morning after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a retaining wall.
Council Bluffs Police say just after 2:30, an SUV driven by 30 year old Joseph Hrbeck struck a home near Glen and High School avenues. Hrbeck reportedly lost control of his vehicle and struck a retaining wall, but managed to not damage the actual house. When officers arrived, Hrbeck was attempting to flee from the scene on foot, but they were able to apprehend him a few blocks away.
Hrbeck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Intoxication is suspected in the crash and charges are pending.
