Omaha Credit Union Robbery Suspect Arrested

Omaha Police have arrested a suspect in a robbery at the SAC Federal Credit Union inside Hy-Vee at 79th & Cass.  The robbery happened around 1:30 Monday afternoon.

Employees told officers that a suspect wearing a hooded sweatshirt approached the counter and passed a note demanding money. He then fled after receiving an undetermined amount of money and got into a white Dodge or Plymouth sedan. 

The suspect, 23 year old Wayne Rolling, was tracked down and arrested at 72nd and Dodge at 3:15 p.m. The FBI says Rolling is a suspect in in a series of bank robberies, including three located inside Hy-Vee stores in the Omaha area.

"We are grateful for the exceptional work of our partners at Omaha Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the FBI Greater Omaha Bank Robbery Task Force that helped in the apprehension of the suspect," says FBI Omaha Field Office Special Agent in Charge Randall Thysse.
