Omaha Police say a man who went to the hospital to be treated for knife wounds ended up in jail after drugs were found on him at the hospital.

It all began around 10:30 Saturday night when officers were called to a home near 88th and Grant to investigate a stabbing and attempted robbery.

48 year old Denny Loghry told police he was working at the house when an unknown man demanded money and cut him with a knife. Loghry was transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital by paramedics.

While at the hospital, Loghry was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Officers transported Loghry to Central Police Headquarters for questioning and then booked him at Douglas County Corrections for possession of meth
