Homicide Victim Found In Police Precinct Parking Lot

Omaha Police are investigating a death at 30th and Taylor as a homicide.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m. investigators say that an Omaha Police officer was returning to the Northeast Police Precinct and noticed a vehicle parked in the east parking lot. 

The officer approached the car and found a person inside who reportedly had been shot.  Paramedics confirmed the person was dead,   The investigation continued for hours with traffic restricted in the area into the daylight hours.

The identity of the victim has yet to be released.
