Jack Eichorst Set To Make First Court Appearance

The eighteen year old son of former Nebraska Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst will make his first court appearance Monday.

Jack Eichorst is accused of sexually assaulting a twelve year old boy on October 20th. Lincoln Police records show that on October 26th the boy told a school counselor that he was the victim of a sexual assault.

Lincoln Police were notified and the next day the victim was interviewed during which he stated that Eichorst had subjected him to sexual penetration without his consent. Authorities say that Eichorst and the victim had been communicating electronically since October 21st. In these communications, they say Eichorst acknowledged the assault and apologized to the victim.

Police brought Eichorst in for questioning on November 3rd, with the teen waiving his miranda warnings and admitting to the sexual penetration, but stated that the sexual contact was consensual.

Eichorst is being charged with First Degree Sexual Assault.
