Omaha Police have arrested two men following an extensive investigation of a series of metro area convenience store robberies. robberies.
Police announced the arrests of 23 year old Carlos Farley and 22 year old Dustin Burghardt on Saturday.
Farley has been booked on seven counts of Robbery and seven counts of using a weapon that was not a gun.
Burghardt has been booked on three counts of Robbery. The arrests cap an investigation of a string of holdups targeting convenience stores in Omaha and the surrounding area.
Police developed descriptions of two men and also had a description of a vehicle at one of the scenes. The subsequent investigation led to the identification of the man who assisted in the robberies and later to their main suspect.
Search warrants were completed at an address near 66th and Pinkney and in the 5600 block of South 29th Avenue. Both Farley and Burghardt were taken into custody and evidence was recovered from both locations. That evidence includes a BB gun.
