Council Bluffs Police say a 33 year old Omaha man was killed in a Saturday night crash on Interstate 29. Investigators say Josiah Volentine died after the vehicle he was driving left the roadway, struck two light poles and a sign and rolled again before coming to rest in the roundabout near the Avenue G entrance and exit ramp.
A 32-year-old passenger in the vehicle, 32 year old Kristopher Harrold of Council Bluffs, was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with what police describe as life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the possibility of both alcohol and speed being factors in the crash.
