One of Chicago's most famous pizza joints may be coming to Omaha in the near future.
Giordano's Pizza turned to Facebook when looking to open a new location, by gauging different city’s level of interest in their deep-dish pies. Giordano's Marketing Manager Jessica Wenson says Omaha is one of the most popular options. "We are absolutely blown away from the attention we've received from Omaha. I don't want to say it was unexpected, but it did come as a little bit of a surprise."
Other cities in the poll are Des Moines, Dallas, Houston and Cincinnati, but Wenson says Omaha is ahead of the competition by leaps and bounds. "Omaha has really taken the lead, and seems to be retaining it and it's really fun to see all of the excitement. So, keep it up Omaha."
Voting closes on Halloween and after that, Wenson says they'll be taking a good look at the top vote-getter as a possibility for a new location. "The number one city is obviously going to be on our radar for future locations, and as we see all the excitement and activity we'll definitely look further into expanding in some of these markets."
