Man Dead After Omaha Shooting

Omaha Police say a 35 year old man has died after he was shot near 26th and Sahler early Saturday morning.

They have identified the victim as 35 year old Damon Jackson. A man who says he's the victim's uncle told 6 News that the family got a call early Saturday morning about the shooting, between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

He says his nephew was a single father who leaves behind a 12 year-old son.   Officers responding to the call and found Jackson dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Anyone providing tips leading to the arrest of a homicide suspect is eligible for a $25,000 reward.
