An inmate who escaped from custody in Dodge County last month is facing hundreds of years in prison.
The Saunders County Attorney has now filed five charges against 37 year old Eric Scott, who is accused of assaulting and escaping from a Dodge County deputy on September 20th. Scott allegedly fled Dodge County, ditched the deputy's car in Omaha and was apprehended by Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Deputies the day after his escape.
Scott was already facing charges of Failure to Appear and Felony Escape from Dodge County in connection to his escape. Now he is looking at five more charges in Saunders County including second degree Assault on an Officer, two counts of Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, Felony Theft and Misdemeanor Theft.
If convicted on all charges, Scott is looking at 200 years in prison, on top of his current sentence for Fifth Offense Felony DUI. Scott is also still facing charges for sexually assaulting a child in Dodge County.
