It has been almost two years since an explosion and fire rocked M's Pub in the Old Market.
Owner Ann Mellen tells WOWT 6 News that they are putting the finishing touches on the Omaha establishment before they re-open at the end of October. “Every day I come I come in, there's something new, and it's always pretty. The marble, the brass, the mirrors, it's fantastic.”
Mellen met with her contractor on Wednesday, and says she is positive they will be open in the next few weeks. “We were a big family before, and now we're all getting back together. It's wonderful.”
The interior of M's will be almost exactly the same as it was before the fire, but some improvements have been made in the rebuild including a larger kitchen and more patio seating.
Mellen says furniture will go in next week and a new menu has already been posted online. Reservations will not be taken until a set opening date is decided.
