Teen Leads Bellevue Police On Pursuit Into Omaha

A metro teenager is facing a laundry list of charges after leading Bellevue Police in a Monday night pursuit that ended with an accident in Omaha. 

Just before 9:30, a Bellevue officer attempted to stop a Chevy Tahoe for running a stop sign, but the driver refused to stop and fled from the officer. Shortly after, the vehicle was involved in an accident at 20th and Missouri Avenue in Omaha. A person in the second vehicle involved in the crash suffered a minor injury, was treated at a hospital and released.

The suspect driver was identified as a sixteen year old active runaway from Douglas County. He also suffered minor injuries in the accident, was treated & released and turned over to his parents. 

Bellevue Police issued the teen citations for Felony Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Driver's License, and Violation of a Stop Sign.
