Bank Manager Arrested For Bogus Robbery Report

An Omaha bank manager is in trouble after reporting a robbery that never happened.  The manager called 911 on September 12 to report a robbery at the 85th and Dodge Bank of the West branch.

The manager told officers a man with a gun had handed over a note to the clerk demanding money.

Omaha Police say the FBI Greater Omaha Bank Robbery Task Force investigated the incident and discovered that the bank had not actually been robbed.

28 year old Christopher Carter was cited for false reporting.  The bogus hold-up happened around the same time that the Bank of the West branch at 168th and Harrison was robbed.
