Two Omaha Banks Robbed Tuesday Morning

Omaha Police and the FBI are looking for a pair of suspects after two Bank of the West branches were robbed Tuesday morning.

The first happened at West at 168th and Harrison Street around 9:35 a.m. Employees told officers that the suspect entered the bank, motioned as if he had a weapon, and demanded money. 

After receiving the cash, the suspect fled westbound through the neighborhood. He is described as a short, skinny unknown-race male, wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt or jacket, a scarf, mask, dark pants and a bicycle helmet.

Around 10:15, officers responded to a robbery at Bank of the West at 85th and Dodge. An employee told officers the suspect showed a gun and a note demanding money. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.  He is described as an unknown-race male wearing a black shirt.

The investigations in both robberies is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.  Tips leading to arrests in bank robberies are eligible for a $20,000 reward.
