Omaha Police say an Elkhorn man was killed in a one vehicle crash near 60th and Leavenworth around 11:00 Saturday night.
Omaha Police have identified the man killed in a late-night traffic accident as Chase D. Kruse, 22, of Elkhorn.
Investigators say 22 year old Chase Kruse was westbound on Leavenworth in his Ford F-150 pickup when he continued onto Elmwood Park Drive, left the roadway and crashed into a metal utility pole.
Paramedics declared him dead at the scene. Kruse was the only occupant of the truck and investigators say speed and alcohol use were factors in the crash. They say Kruse also was not wearing a seat belt.
