Papio-Missouri River NRD officials have shut down the Graske Crossing river access park on the southeast corner of West Dodge Rd. and the Elkhorn River due to vandalism overnight.
The NRD says the vandalism was substantial. Recreation signs were damaged and knocked down and restrooms were destroyed. There is also tree damage.
The timetable for reopening the access site has yet to be determined. The Papio NRD is asking anyone who may have information on the identity of the vandals to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and/or the Papio NRD office (402-444-6222).
