Monday marks the sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks and many memorial events will be held across the metro to remember that faithful day.

Bellevue’s annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
- 6 PM at American Heroes Park
- Honors fallen and wounded warriors, first responders, and new citizens. The park is located on the north side of Mission Ave. across from Haworth Park.
- The ceremony includes a citizenship ceremony where 23 new Americans will take their oath of citizenship, recognition of our emergency first responders, and a Roll Call of our Fallen Heroes from Nebraska and Western Iowa.

9/11 Minute of Silence
- 9:11 a.m. at Memorial Park
- A moment of silence was observed at 9:11 AM as the City paid tribute to first responders who were killed on 9/11
Patriot Day Program & Lunch
- 11:30 AM till 1 PM at the SAC Museum
- The museum will hold a program and lunch event that honors first responders and military members with keynote speaker Colonel Tony Deane, an army veteran. This event is free for first responders and military. For more information click here.
9/11 Remembrance and Military Tribute
- 6:30 p.m. at SumTur Amphitheater
- Event will feature guest speakers and music. The first 100 attendees will receive a free American flag. This is a free event, but attendees are asked to bring canned food donations for local food banks.
