Two People Remain Critical After House Explosion

Two people were critically injured when a house in southeast Lincoln exploded around 4:30 Monday afternoon.  The explosion rocked the neighborhood in the 7800 block of Red Oak Road. 

The blast could be heard several miles away and some residents said it felt like an earthquake.  The home and garage were destroyed. and several other homes were damaged.

While the incident remains under investigation, fire crews believe the explosion may have been sparked by natural gas.

Authorities say the man and woman who lived in the house suffered life threatening injuries.
