Omaha Couple Asking For Public's Help In Locating Wedding Photos

Your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life, something you look back at pictures of and remember how amazing that day was, unless you are one unlucky Omaha couple.

Candy and Aaron Heydorn are asking the public for their help in locating the camera that contained photos of their wedding. Although they have only been married for a few short days, Candy says their bliss was cut short.  "All of our close friends and family were there, everything was working out really great. We had a great time. Then we found out that our photographer's vehicle was stolen and unfortunately the camera was in there."

Candy says other than a few cell phone pictures, she has no photos of her wedding. "It would just mean the world to us if we could even just get the pictures back. I mean, obviously the camera is worth money, but for us the pictures are just, you know, priceless and how can that be recreated."

Items stolen were a Canon EOS T-6 camera, a couple of lenses and a tripod with a blue mount.

Heydorn says they are hopeful that the thief just needed to make a quick buck and pawned the camera and equipment in Nebraska or Iowa. "It's an aftermarket tripod, it would be pretty distinctive if everything was all sold together. So that blue, metallic mount on it would be pretty distinctive."

The car and camera were stolen from the Pisgah/Mondamin, Iowa area, about 45 minutes from Omaha. If anyone has seen the camera or other stolen items, Heydorn urges them to reach out.
