Eight Year Old Critically Injured In Omaha Crash

A three vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near 99th and Blair High Road injured four people, including an eight year old boy.

Omaha police say the driver of a Honda Civic was stopped on the Blair High Road under a green traffic signal waiting to turn left.  As the signal turned from yellow to red, the driver of the Civic made the left turn to clear the intersection.

Investigators say that's when an eastbound 2004 Ford Explorer ran a red light traffic signal and slammed into the passenger's side rear door of the Civic.

The Civic then collided with the front-end of a black 2012 Jeep Liberty.  Three people in the Honda were transported to the hospital. Police say eight year old Ayden Jones suffered a critical head injury that is potentially life-threatening.   The driver, 58-year-old Cenia Donley, was treated and released. Six year old Adrian Jones was also treated and released.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, 16-year-old Dominguez-Gonzalez was not injured. His passenger, 37-year-old Alma Dominguez-Gonzalez, was treated for leg pain.

This crash remains under investigation.
