Charges are pending against the driver involved in an accident around 1 a.m. Saturday near 35th Avenue and Dodge Street. Police say that a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was eastbound on Dodge Street when it failed to follow the "S" curve leading to Douglas Street.
The Chrysler left the roadway, went airborne and rolled in a parking lot sough of Dodge Street. There were three people inside the vehicle that took off running after the accident. Police were able to locate all three and report they were all intoxicated.
The driver, 25 year old Christina Lara and the front seat passenger, 36 year old Jared Koenig of Omaha were both taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The back seat passenger refused treatment.
