Roof Fire Quickly Extinguished At Duchesne Academy

Omaha firefighters made quick work of a smoky fire on the roof of Duchesne Academy near 36th and Burt Thursday morning.                                                                 

The call came in around 10:30 and firefighters found smoke coming from the roof.  Battalion Chief Matt Carmichael says a work crew was replacing the roof and was using a grinder, which sparked the small fire. 

It was contained to an area approximately 5-feet by 15-feet and put out within minutes. There was some minor water damage in the attic.

None of the workers were injured
