Omaha firefighters made quick work of a smoky fire on the roof of Duchesne Academy near 36th and Burt Thursday morning.
The call came in around 10:30 and firefighters found smoke coming from the roof. Battalion Chief Matt Carmichael says a work crew was replacing the roof and was using a grinder, which sparked the small fire.
It was contained to an area approximately 5-feet by 15-feet and put out within minutes. There was some minor water damage in the attic.
None of the workers were injured
