Council Bluffs Police are looking for three masked bandits who robbed two people near the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge around 12:30 Thursday morning.
Police say a man and woman were sitting on the terraces at Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park when three suspects wearing masks approached them. They pulled out guns and demanded that the victims empty their pockets.
They complied and the three took their items and fled north on a bike trail. Police say they fired off several shots as they left, but no one was hurt. Police set up a perimeter of the area and searched it with both a K-9 and a drone, but none of the suspects were found.
No arrests have been made. Police say the robbers are believed to be a woman and two men. Anyone with information is asked to call the Council Bluffs Police Detective Division at (712) 328-4728 or Crime Stoppers at (712) 328-STOP (7867).
