On Thursday the University of Nebraska and Adidas unveiled this season's alternative uniforms.
The uniforms are a throwback to the 1997 National Championship season. The new duds celebrate the 20th anniversary of the impressive undefeated season that produced five All-Americans, a Lombardi Award winner and an Outland Trophy winner.
The uniform's design pays tribute to the mesh jerseys worn in the 90's, while including modern movement and flexibility innovation. They will be worn during the October 7th Nebraska/Wisconsin game.
