A two year old is in the hospital after nearly drowning in a swimming pool Friday evening. Sarpy County Sheriff's deputies responded to a rescue call south of Cornhusker on 162nd street around 8:00.
A two year old child was found at the bottom of a swimming pool by family members. The were able to pull the toddler out of the water and called 911.
A deputy arriving on the scene performed CPR until the rescue squad arrived. The child was breathing at Lakeside Hospital and was transferred to Children's Hospital.
At last report the two year-old was listed as being in critical but stable condition. The sheriff's office is trying to determine how the incident happened.
