The Nebraska State Patrol has released the name of the motorcyclist killed in an early morning crash on Thursday.
Authorities say 24 year old Blake Escamilla of Fremont was hit by an eastbound semi on Highway 36 just before 6:30.
They say the eastbound semi was attempting to turn left off of Old Highway 275 onto Highway 36, when he hit Escamilla who was westbound on Old Highway 275.
Escamilla was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 50 year old Brian Heldt of Fremont, was not injured in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
