Council Bluffs Police say speed and alcohol were factors in an early morning crash in a construction zone that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators say the westbound Honda Accord struck a piece of parked construction equipment on the Veteran's Memorial Highway Bridge around 4:00 a.m.
The driver was pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated. He was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries are non-life threatening injuries.
