The PGA Tour is making its way back to the metro next week, but it won't be where many are use to attending.
The Pinnacle Bank Championship begins Monday at Indian Creek Golf Course on 202nd and West Maple, a new venue for the PGA's stop in Omaha.
Tournaments were previously held at Champions run, but there hasn't been one in the metro for four years.
Organizer Mike West says the tournaments were ready to make a comeback. "We were gone just long enough to be missed, but not too long to be forgotten. People are very, very excited to have us back."
Pro-amateur tournaments start Monday, with the pros hitting the green on Thursday.
West says fans will enjoy some new features at the course. "We have two public, air conditioned restaurants. So the amenities for the average person on the course is at a very, very high level."
For fans wanting an up close look at the tournament, West says there will plenty of places to get a great view. "We worked very hard to make sure that there are sitting areas on every hole. That the general public can throw a blanket down, throw up their lawn chair and be able to sit there under a tree and watch any hole they want."
Fans will recognize one feature from the old Champion Run days, the 19th hole, only the one at Indian Creek will be a little smaller. Live music will be held after play of over on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Proceeds from the tournament go to the Teammates Mentoring Program of Nebraska.
