Accused Serial Rapist Appears In Court

A man already behind bars made his first court appearance since being forced to give a DNA sample that connected him to four rapes dating back to 2002.

Prosecutors say 41 year old Brandon Weathers terrorized North Omaha from 2002 to 2004 when he raped four women ages 17 to 23.

Police say Weathers gained access into the women's homes during that time, tied each of them up, then raped them. In some cases spending hours in the home with the women.

Weathers appeared in court on Friday and was formally charged with four counts of First Degree Sexual Assault. He is currently serving over 100 years for raping his thirteen year old foster daughter.

A court order forced weathers to a give a DNA sample earlier this year, and it matched the four cases from fifteen years ago.

If convicted, Weathers could face another 200 years on his sentence.
