It wasn't all fun and festivities for some in Lincoln on the Fourth of July, the bombs that should have been busting in air had to land somewhere.
Authorities say 21 year old Kyle Dey set off a homemade explosive that sent a five pound piece of metal soaring through the sky, and into a neighbors home.
The explosive was set off two houses away from the victim's home before it made its way through the roof.
The metal piece cut through the first floor of the home, before ending up in the basement.
Thankfully no one was injured in the incident. Dey was cited for Possession of a Destructive Device.
