Omaha Police Conduct Successful CWS Operation

The College World Series brings fun and revelry to North Downtown, but it also brings a rash of drinking.

During the series, the Omaha Police Department ran a Minor in Possession and DUI operation to catch those overindulging in the festivities.

The enforcement effort netted quite a few arrests and tickets. There were six Minor in Possession citations, six DUI arrests, three Open Container, five Fake or Altered ID's, three drug arrests, one weapons charge and 37 other misdemeanors and traffic violations.

The ten operations were made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
