Investigators say Sunday night's fire south of 52nd and Highway 370 started on the deck of the house that was destroyed.
Deputy Battalion Fire Chief Jeff Jones says the fire has been ruled accidental, but due to the amount of damage that was caused, they may never know what started the massive fire.
One house was incinerated after the homeowner saw fire in the kitchen area and got his family out safely. The flames spread to a neighbors house, went up the side and into the roof. The siding on a third house was scorched.
No injuries were reported.
