Fire Damages Three Papillion Homes

A Papillion home is a total loss after a house fire late Sunday night. Two neighboring homes were damaged.

Firefighters responded around 11:30 Sunday night near 52nd and Timber Ridge, just south of Highway 370.

When they arrived one house was engulfed in flames.  Papillion, Bellevue, Omaha and Ralston firefighters had to take a defensive approach because of the intense flames.

The flames spread to a second home and caused extensive damage.  Crews were able to get inside to battle the blaze.

The siding on a third home sustained fire damage.  Everyone in those homes made it out on their own and there were no injuries.

The Red Cross is assisting the two families that have been displaced.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
