Costco started a new chapter in Nebraska on Monday.
The retailer, with the help of Governor Ricketts, broke ground on a brand new chicken processing plant in Fremont.
Some residents in Fremont have voiced their concerns about how the plant will impact the local environment and traffic.
Though city leaders see the plant as positive growth for the area, saying the $300 million facility will bring a reported 1,000 new jobs and $93 million in taxes.
The facility is expected to be up and running by 2019.
