The Omaha Public Works Department says raw sewage got into the water at Zorinski Lake after a power outage at the Zorinski Sewage Lift Station.
The outage caused an unknown amount of untreated sewage to flow overland, reaching Zorinsky Lake. The power is back on, but the Public Work's Department is warning people to avoid contact with the water as a precaution.
A portion of the West Loop Trail has been closed until cleanup is finished. The advisory will stay in effect until further notice.
