If you have been to the College World Series, you've seen the rows of white tents selling memorabilia.
Something you might not have seen before though, is a whole storefront made out of recycled pallets.
In an effort to keep pallets out of our landfills, a few CWS vendors have made their displays out of the old wood.
Bailey Gappa with Palleton says using the pallets for displays helps the environment. "They're not going into the landfill, which is a great thing, that they're not just piling up. Reusing the wood, even if it's not usable for pallets, we mulch it, so it's going to something."
Clothing company Baseballism has constructed both their outdoor display and indoor storefront out of the recycled wood, and the always popular Old Mattress Factory beer garden has made their bar out of pallets.
Gappa says hundreds of pallets went in to making the display, storefront and bar. "Right here it's about a thousand, just under a thousand, and it's all made out of recycled wood."
Then when the College World Series is over, Gappa says they will collect the pallets and begin the recycling process all over again.
