Metro Area In Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 1 A.M.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 1 a.m. Wednesday for 23 counties in eastern Nebraska and two in western Iowa.  This watch does include the Omaha metro area. Large hail and damaging winds are possible with these storms.

The counties included in Nebraska are: Burt, Douglas, Washington, Butler, Sarpy, Dodge, Saunders, Boone, Cuming, Platte, Wayne, Cedar, Madison, Stanton, Colfax, Pierce, Thurston, Cass, Lancaster, Gage, Saline, Jefferson and Seward.  

Harrison and Monona Counties are included in the watch in Iowa. 

This includes the cities of Albion, Ashland, Beatrice, Bellevue, Blair, Coleridge, Columbus, Crete, David City, Decatur, Dunlap, Fairbury, Fremont, Hartington, La Vista, Laurel, Lincoln, Logan, Lyons, Macy, Mapleton, Milford, Missouri Valley, Norfolk, Oakland, Omaha, Onawa, Osmond, Papillion, Pender, Pierce, Plainview, Plattsmouth, Randolph, Schuyler, Seward, St. Edward, Stanton, Tekamah, Wahoo, Walthill, Wayne, West Point, Wilber, Winnebago, Wisner, Woodbine and Yutan.
