Woman Carjacked In Dundee Neighborhood

Omaha Police are looking for a man who stole a woman's car at gunpoint in a Dundee neighborhood Monday morning.

The woman told police she had parked her car outside an apartment building near 46th and Cuming around 8:20 a.m. when a large Hispanic man, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, approached her vehicle and began to pull the handle of the car door attempting to open it.

When that proved to be unsuccessful, the victim said the man then pointed a small handgun at her and demanded she get out of the vehicle.

The suspect then got into the victims vehicle and drove away. The vehicle is a White 2008 Chevy AVEO, 4-Door with  NE Plate UWP351.  It has a yellow rope holding down the hood of the vehicle.

Pottawattamie County authorities believe the car was used in a bank robbery in Underwood Monday afternoon. They say two suspects entered the US Bank just before 1:00 with their faces covered, and left with an undetermined amount of money. The white Chevy Aveo was located abandoned not far from the bank.
