There were tense moments Thursday night as Omaha Police negotiated for hours with an armed man barricaded in his house.
Omaha Police say officers were dispatched to a home near 11th and Hickory just after 7:00 for a report of a man who was possibly armed and had a hostage.
A negotiator was able to make contact with the suspect, 37 year old Eric Stratman, and after four hours Stratman exited the house with a knife. Police further negotiated with Stratman, he dropped the knife and officers were able to peacefully end the situation.
A victim in the situation is identified as 21 year old Adriann Davis.
Stratman was booked into Douglas County Corrections for False Imprisonment, Sexual Assault and Strangulation.
