News Conference Set To Address In Custody Death

Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer will address the taser-related death of a man Friday afternoon.   

Schmaderer will answer questions about the death of Zachary Bearheels. 

Bearheels was tazed during an encounter with officers outside the Bucky's at 60th and Center early Monday morning. 

Employees called police after they said Bearheels was causing a disturbance and refused to leave the store. During a struggle with police he was tazed and taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, where he died. 

Bearheels' mother says her son was schizophrenic and was off his medication. 

Schmaderer's news conference is set for 4:00.
