14 Arrested In Drug, Weapons Investigation

A yearlong investigation of narcotics and weapon trafficking by the Surenos gangs in Omaha was capped Thursday with an arrest operation by the FBI's Greater Omaha Safe Streets Task Force.

The investigation resulted in 10 arrests Thursday, four arrests in early May and 2 outstanding fugitives that authorities need help finding. 

 The FBI’s Greater Omaha Safe Streets Task Force includes the Omaha Police Department, Bellevue Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff, La Vista Police Department, Council Bluffs Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and DEA.

Arrested on June 1:  Luis Alberto Hernandez, PWID-Meth (2 counts),  Jose Chica-Vasquez  possession of a stolen firearm (2 counts), Jimmy Ramirez PWID-Cocaine and Criminal Conspiracy, Ernesto Buenrostro PWID-Meth with a gun, Possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (3 counts), Dwayne Oltmanns  PWID-Meth, Diego Camacho Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine), Dante Vicharra Jr. PWID-Meth, Criminal Conspiracy (Meth), Abraham Roberto Flores Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine), Aiding Consummation of a Felony, and PWID-Money, Pablo Inda PWID-Meth (4 counts) and Criminal Conspiracy.  One other person was arrested on a federal arrest warrant but no information has been released at this time.

Arrested in May, 2017: Jorge Rolando Flores PWID-Meth and THC Wax, Carlos Garcia  PWID-Cocaine and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, Bissell Alberto Santos Accessory to a felony, Jose Artemio Enriquez PWID-Meth.

The two fugitives being sought are Brian Chaidez  PWID-Cocaine (2 counts) and Amanda Marie Samaroo PWID-Meth (2 counts).   Anyone with information of their location is urged to call the Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.
