In an effort to keep your child safe while riding in the car, the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in west Omaha will have a free car seat check-up Saturday morning.
Spokesperson Marjorie Sturgeon says certified car seat technicians will inspect and teach people how to safely install them. "Car seats have really become a lot more complex, and have new features, so it's important to make sure you're doing everything right."
No appointment is necessary to attend the event, but Sturgeon says to plan accordingly before heading out. She says to plan on spending 30 minutes per car seat, bring your children if possible, expectant parents are also welcome, and to have your car owner's and car seat manuals.
The event is free to the public on Saturday, June 3rd from 9:00 AM till Noon at the Madonna Rehab Hospital at 17500 Burke St. Omaha, NE 68118.
