Yearlong Investigation Nets Multiple Gang Members

Numerous law enforcement agencies in the metro joined forces to conduct a large scale arrest operation on Thursday. 

The FBI's Omaha Safe Streets Task Force includes the Omaha Police department, Bellevue Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff, La Vista Police Department, Council Bluffs Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol and the DEA. 

The arrest operation was the conclusion of a yearlong investigation of weapons and narcotics trafficking by the Surenos gangs in the Omaha metro. The investigation netted ten arrests on Thursday and four arrests in early May. 

There are still two outstanding fugitives that law enforcement is asking for the public's help in locating. 

The outstanding fugitives are 21 year old Brian Chaidez, who is wanted for two counts of Possesion with Intent to Deliver-Cocaine, and 35 year old Amanda Marie Samaroo, who is wanted for Possession with Intent to Deliver-Meth.

Anyone with information of the location of Chaidez or Samaroo is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP.


The following suspects were arrested on Thursday, June 1st:

  • Luis Alberto Hernandez (10/04/1992) charges:  PWID-Meth (2 counts)
  • Jose Chica-Vasquez (08/13/1997) charges:  possession of a stolen firearm (2 counts)
  • Jimmy Ramirez (06/22/1992) charges:  PWID-Cocaine and Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine)
  • Ernesto Buenrostro (07/22/1983) charges:  PWID-Meth with a gun, Possession of a firearm during commission of a felony (PWID-Meth), PWID-Meth, and Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (3 counts)
  • Dwayne Oltmanns (09/30/1966) charges:  PWID-Meth
  • Diego Camacho (02/03/1998) charges:  Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine)
  • Dante Vicharra Jr. (09/02/1998) charges:  PWID-Meth, Criminal Conspiracy (Meth)
  • Abraham Roberto Flores (10/29/1998) charges:  Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine), Aiding Consummation of a Felony, and PWID-Money
  • Pablo Inda (11/13/1989) charges:  PWID-Meth (4 counts) and Criminal Conspiracy
  • One person arrested on a federal arrest warrant (information not released at this time)


May 2017 the following were arrested:

  • Jorge Rolando Flores (09/11/1989) charges: PWID-Meth and THC Wax
  • Carlos Garcia (10/30/1998) charges: PWID-Cocaine and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony (PWID-Cocaine)
  • Bissell Alberto Santos (12/09/1996) charges: Accessory to a felony
  • Jose Artemio Enriquez (07/29/1994) charges: PWID-Meth
